Today is the anniversary of the killing of George Floyd. I want to use his death as a source of propaganda for my religion.

You see it is Christianity that teaches us not to be racist. There is not one racist sentiment anywhere in my Big Book of Magic Stuff. Only non-Christians are racist.

I know all this because the colonialists, imperialists and slave owners, imposed the religion of Christianity on black people.

And in the Big News today from a Faith Perspective, there were race riots in Burnley 20 years ago. It’s very easy to speak platitudes about tolerance, understanding and respect, but that’s just a load of pious twaddle.

The Christian feast of Pentecost teaches us that humanity can only be united by the particularly invisible third of the Invisible Magic Friend coming down, filling us with spirit, and making us babble unintelligibly.

If only we could add some religion to racial tension. What could possible go wrong?
