The Victoria and Albert are doing a David Bowie exhibition. Which brings me to Lent, where we fast and give alms, or volunteer. By giving things up, we become better. But only for six weeks, then we go back to not doing any of that.

It’s the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Today I want to give you a Faith Perspective on the war. To provide you with the kind of dazzling and original insights that are only possible with a deep, intimate and profound knowledge of the Invisible Magic Friend. I will open your eyes to levels of information and understanding that you were hitherto completely unaware of. Prepare yourself.

The war is a bad thing and we should do what we can to help.

(Some Christians, mostly of a Russian Orthodox variety, may disagree with this theological conclusion.)

Putin says that The West started the war in Ukraine. Which brings me to Ash Wednesday. Oh, yes, Ash Wednesday. What a coincidence. I wasn’t going to mention it, but now that it’s popped up so naturally I may as well spend the rest of the time talking about Ash Wednesday.

Today is Ash Wednesday. What does Ash Wednesday mean? We’re all going to die.

Have a nice Ash Wednesday everyone.
