It’s hard to say sorry. Sometimes we worry about legal liability if we apologise. We Christians don’t do that. Because of our moral superiority, we would never be involved in anything as sordid as covering up crimes, trying to minimise legal or financial penalties, or ignoring victims.

The news is just terrible. There’s no good news. It just gets worse and worse. Everything is just so dreadful, depressing, wearisome, uninspiring and unremittingly awful.
