The Olympics are over. Everyone who won was filled with joy, unlike the vast majority who didn’t.
As St Paul correctly pointed out, joy was invented by the Invisible Magic Friend, who obviously hates the ones who lost.

As with all clear nights since April, I went out at midnight to take a picture of T Corona Borealis, waiting for the expected nova event. Still no show.
But it was a beautiful night and it seemed a shame to just pack up and go to bed, So, when all else fails, take a picture of the Dumbbell Nebula.
People are choosing not to have funerals in proper, solemn, sacred places like churches. Many are choosing instead to have scurrilous, irreverent “celebrations of life”. There are some who don’t even mention the Invisible Magic Friend at all.
Well, you just wait until judgement day. Then you’ll be sorry.

Gold medal winners have to sacrifice a great deal to be the best.
This is exactly the same as becoming a Christian. Except we don’t get a gold medal and don’t have to give up anything.
