Rev Dr Michael Banner, Dean and Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge

Davos is taking place up a mountain.
Lots of false, not real, imaginary gods lived up on mountains. What a silly thing for people to believe.
Jesus went up a mountain but then came back down again, where he magically healed a boy having a seizure.
Davos is all about being rich and powerful, but there are poor people in the world. Won’t someone please, please think of the poor people.

And in the Big News today from a Faith Perspective, I got invited to represent Jesus at a talk in Washington about sciency things. There were rich people, famous people, clever people and me. I made sure they understood that Jesus made everything. We know this is true because he said so and the temporarily visible third of the Invisible Magic Friend wouldn’t lie.

Oh, and space telescopes are discovering new habitable planets and how galaxies evolve.

Ven Elizabeth Adekunle, Archdeacon of Hackney

The C of E invested in slavery. Due to its divinely inspired moral superiority, the church has now realised that this was wrong.

But other organisations have done wrong too. Some even do wrong now. This is because they don’t have our divinely inspired moral superiority. Thanks to our divinely inspired moral superiority we are now completely squeaky clean and don’t discriminate against anyone or cover up any crimes or failings, and can sit here and lecture you all on your failings instead.
