And in the Big News today from a Faith Perspective, it’s Maundy Thursday. It’s the first of three very holy days which are much more holier than any normal, boring old days. The Queen used to clean poor people’s feet, but then decided that this was OK for Jesus, but not for the head of the Church of England. This was how Jesus invented humility and introduced it to the world, and we Christians have been humble ever since.

The Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis

Is Trump a victim of political persecution, or an example that no one is above the law? This is EXACTLY the same as Passover, where we celebrate the genocide of Egyptian children, which definitely happened. But don’t worry, they worshipped the wrong Invisible Magic Friend. Thus we learn about justice and get a moral compass to help us sail the seas.

Scintillatingly Rev and non-female Philip North, Bishop of Burnley and not Bishop of Sheffield

Huge, day long, queues at Dover. Who is to blame? This is EXACTLY the same as Jesus during Holy Week. I wasn’t going to mention Jesus and Holy Week, but now that Jesus and Holy Week have come up so naturally, as a result of the striking resemblance to the the queues at Dover, I may as well talk about Jesus and Holy Week.

Google Bard’s Thought for the Day

I typed the following into Google Bard.

“Write a 3 minute statement along the lines of the BBC’s Thought for the Day.”

It came back with the following. I’d say it was pretty comparable to most TFTDs. Better in some ways.

Good morning.

I’m here today to talk about the importance of faith in our lives.

Faith is a powerful thing. It can give us strength in times of need, hope when things are tough, and comfort when we’re feeling lost.

But what is faith, exactly?

Faith is a belief in something that we cannot see or touch. It is a trust in something greater than ourselves.

For some people, faith is a belief in God. For others, it is a belief in a higher power or a universal spirit.

No matter what you believe in, faith can be a powerful force in your life.

Faith can help you to overcome challenges. When you’re facing a difficult situation, faith can give you the strength to keep going.

Faith can also help you to find hope. When things are tough, it can be easy to give up. But faith can give you the hope that things will get better.

And faith can provide comfort. When you’re feeling lost or alone, faith can remind you that you are not alone. There is something greater than yourself that is watching over you.

So if you’re feeling lost or alone, or if you’re facing a difficult challenge, I encourage you to turn to your faith.

Let your faith give you strength, hope, and comfort.

Thank you for listening.
