Just before this we fast. Muslims are also fasting because of Ramadan and Christians are fasting a little bit because of Lent. So all three Abrahamic religions are united in one big happy fast, with no disagreements about anything whatsoever.

The lesson from all this fasting is that we have to eat. Have some banana cake.

And in the Big News today from a Faith Perspective, debt. It’s terrible. We Christians believe that all debt should be cancelled. We would never loan money to anyone because it’s sinful. Not even the Vatican Bank would. The Church of England would never invest in anything as unethical as a bank, which makes its money from debt.

So if someone owes you money, or your pension fund has shares in a bank, you too can look forward to being poor, or in debt.
