And in the Big News today from a Faith Perspective, there’s a Big Christian Feast Day today. Happy Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary into heaven. Yes, on this day the Virgin Mary went up into the sky never to be seen again, except by various groups of children in bits of France and Portugal. We know this happened because the Pope said so, and he’s infallible. And if that doesn’t convince you of the correctness of Catholicism then I don’t know what will.

But of course I’m not going to start with that. That may seem trivial compared to world events. No, I’ll start with Trump and Putin. That’s all about Ukraine. Ukrainians are divided between Russian Orthodox, Ukrainian Orthodox and Catholicism, the One True Religion. But they all believe that the Virgin Mary went up into the sky. Mornington Crescent!
