It’s the 100th anniversary of the Scopes Monkey Trial, where Christianity was up against evolution.

Modern, sophisticated, Christianity no longer considers the Big Book of Magic Stuff as a scientific text. Much of it is allegorical, except the bits which are literally true and which you will burn in hell for not believing.

In fact, Christianity has always held the world was not literally created in six days. Anybody who ever thought differently was never really a proper Christian. In fact, the Scopes Monkey Trial was all completely made up and never really happened at all.
