Christians invented generosity. Just remember, don’t do this because you want to help. Do it because the Invisible Magic Friend is totaling up your generosity in proportion to your wealth. And if you haven’t given enough away then you’ll be for it.

If you can’t think who to help, don’t forget that churches are charities and you can give to them completely tax free.

There’s been a defence review, where we try to guess our future military needs. But the future remains uncertain. In my own case, unexpected brain and heart surgery confused my plans, although confirming that I did indeed have a both a brain and a heart.

The Big Book of Magic Stuff tells us that we mustn’t base our plans on fantasies. Our decisions must be rooted in reality.

The only true certainty is uncertainty.

And in the Big News today from a Faith Perspective, there’s a Big Jewish Festival today. Happy Day That the Invisible Magic Friend Gave Us the Ten Commandments (first time) everybody!

These can be summarised as: worship me. Don’t worship anybody else. Worship me a lot. Devote a whole day to worshipping me. In fact, use the only day off you’re allowed to worship me. Tell me how brilliant I am. Don’t broadcast Thought For the Day live on one of my worshipping days, but pre-record it on a digital medium (the meaning of this will become clear in a few thousand years). Oh, and don’t kill, steal, or sleep with the wrong people, unless I tell you to.

At that moment of divine revelation. All creatures, humans, animals (even the unclean ones) fish, bacteria. They all experienced consciousness. Although there’s some doubt about viruses.
