The South Bank Center held a celebration of Nina Simone last night. Her song, Mississippi Goddam, is a reaction to the racial injustices of 60’s America.
She might have been inspired by Christianity. You can’t prove that she wasn’t, so I’ll assume that she was. Christianity tells us that in the Invisible Magic Afterlife there will be no injustice. Christianity, isn’t it brilliant.
