Sky over Southend

The clouds did actually part last night. Just as the moon set, at about 1.30 am, there was a glorious starry show. Unfortunately, it didn’t last. Within minutes, the clouds rolled in again. I did manage to get one decent snap out of it though. This is taken with a fisheye lens (second hand, of course).

I’ve upped the contrast a bit. The glow on the horizon is a mix of light pollution and the light from the moon that is setting to the right of this picture.
