Has anyone mentioned the Assisted Dying Bill? I thought not. That’s why I knew that the Catholic contribution would be so valued in the debate. If there’s one thing we Catholics know how to do well, it’s poking our nose in where everyone undoubtedly wants it, and telling them how to live their lives. Or in this case, how to die in extended agony, discomfort and delirium.
So each MP today should vote according to their conscience. Or as we Catholics like to say, according to the Pope’s conscience.
