Rev Canon Dr Jennifer Smith, Superintendent minister at Wesley’s Chapel and Leysian Mission

Wasn’t the King’s speech… er… something.
John Wesley understood… something.
People of faith have been urgently asking the question about… something, and one day may have an answer.
Jesus understood.. something… too.
We are all made in the image of the Invisible Magic Friend. All the Invisible Magic Friends.
And in conclusion, thinking for yourself is so important.

Thousands of children have died in the Israeli-Hamas war, and many thousands more will be traumatised for the rest of their lives. We all have a moral duty to protect children. As the poet Khaled Juma said.

“Come back and scream as you want,
break all the vases, steal all the flowers
come back, just come back.”

Some Pretty Pics

Just took some pics of the moon during the day. This is a practice run for Thur when Venus should disappear behind the moon in the early morning.

And here’s a picture of the Orion constellation, this time without a telescope, just pointing the camera at the sky. Used a cheap, second hand, Pentax f1.7 lens. The orange colour of Betelgeuse is clearly visible and you can also make out the great nebula in Orion’s sword.

The moon is just out of shot to the left, so seeing isn’t that good. And I missed out the bright star Rigel in the bottom right. Hoping to try this again next week.
