And in the Big News today from a Faith Perspective, the Church of England and the Gays. As the Church’s moral leadership grips the nation, we are all enthralled by the big question, does the Invisible Magic Friend want the Gays to just get on with their lives like everybody else, or should we discriminate and persecute them in order to feel superior? It’s a tough one.

There will be two minutes silence today to commemorate those who died in war. Jesus was a big fan of going to war.

The government promises longer prison sentences, just as soon as they can find some space in the prisons.

Many sentences are inappropriate for those with mental health problems. Jesus says build more secure mental health facilities. Or at least he would have said that if he wasn’t busy casting out demons.

People of all hairstyles and none agree with this.

Well, I thought my luck was in. Beautiful blue southern sky first thing this morning. The moon rapidly approaching Venus.

But just in time, a thick band of cloud and rain started to cover them both up.

So sadly I didn’t catch Venus hiding behind the moon. I’ll try to catch it popping out the other side in about half an hour.

Right on cue. Of course you can’t see the dark edge of the moon, and it’s in the full glare of sunlight now. I’m not even sure if I had the camera in focus. But Venus definitely came back.
