Some of the Israeli hostages will soon be free. But some of us are never as free as we would wish. Those with debilitating illnesses might never be able to do many of the things that most of us take for granted. And as we gradually get older and more dotty, we all have to recognise that we cannot do everything that we once did. We also begin to see the Invisible Magic Friend everywhere. This is a sure sign of getting old and senile.

And in the Big News today from a Faith Perspective, it’s the 60th anniversary of the assassination of President Kennedy.

He upheld the constitutional separation of church and state and so wasn’t a very good Catholic. Nevertheless, he is rated as one of the greatest of all American presidents. He tried to make the world a better place, just like many people of all hairstyles and none. Although I’d just like to imply by that statement, that it’s far better if you have the same hairstyle as me.
