Well, I thought my luck was in. Beautiful blue southern sky first thing this morning. The moon rapidly approaching Venus.
But just in time, a thick band of cloud and rain started to cover them both up.
So sadly I didn’t catch Venus hiding behind the moon. I’ll try to catch it popping out the other side in about half an hour.
Right on cue. Of course you can’t see the dark edge of the moon, and it’s in the full glare of sunlight now. I’m not even sure if I had the camera in focus. But Venus definitely came back.
