If you’re a busy ex-rev canon, like me, it’s back to work day. Many people are lazy, or pretend to be ill, and don’t go to work. Protestantism expects you to work until you drop, even if your job is rubbish. So if you’re sitting at home, wasting away your meaningless existence, why not get a proper job, like me before I retired.

The Frankie and Benny bromance is over.

Pope Benny became pope shortly after I, having explored all the world’s major religions, decided that Catholicism was clearly the correct one. Wasn’t Pope Benny just fantastic. He said so many wonderful words and always wore those stunning ruby slippers.

Now would not be the right time to mention anything about the church covering up child abuse for millennia or Pope Benny’s role in all of that.
