Yes the Bhagavad Gita takes place in the middle of a battlefield and Krishna tells Arjuna to get on with fighting and by the end of the conflict five men are left and millions have died. What’s more religiously rational than that?
So who does he think Krishna is going to be advising in Ukraine, then? Putin? President Zelensky? Boris (IMF help us)? This Thought was no damn use to anyone.
The man is part of an organisation called ISKCON and as has been said he deals unconsciously in bathos rather than catharsis. The thoughts are sometimes what Picasso was to Renaissance art…although the literature of Bhaktivedanta Manor contained some of the most beautiful devotional art I ever encountered. This cannot be present in the rambling of Das. Sad but true.
Religious teacher points out the dangers of irrational thinking. Brilliant.
